Daily Deviation
Wow, just wow. When I logged in to deviantART yesterday morning I noticed I had a lot more messages than I normally have. The first thing that comes to my mind then... nah, it can't be... would I really... I have a DD!! I feel so honored :) I never would've thought I would recieve a Daily Deviation. And it really came as a surprise, seeing I uploaded the piece that received a DD ([link]) over 3 months ago. I'd just like to thank `OtisBee for featuring me, and everyone else for all the support! I really appreciate it :)

Updaaaates!

So yeah, it has been almost 4 months (!!) since I uploaded anything. Unfortunately, I have little time left for designing. I have to devote most of my time to school. I'm in my final year now, and got exams coming up in a couple of weeks.
If all goes well, I got a 3 month vacation (June-August) before my first year at university starts. I'm going to study Creative Technology. Since the university is a few hours away from where I live, I'll have to live on my own for the first time. Pretty exciting! :excited:

In the few hours I have left to design, I'm working on my personal site: JellePingen.com. It's going to be my portfolio + blog. Hopefully I can launch it somewhere in June (after my exams). I've also got a half-finished Xion skin lying around here somwhere on my harddisk, but I'm not sure when I can finish it.

Oh, before I forget; I'm also on twitter now. I finally decided to see what the hype was all about (honestly, I never understood what people liked about twitter). Most of my tweets are in Dutch, but I'll make sure I'll tweet in English as well. :)

Deviations
Yeah I know I haven't uploaded much since my last journal. That's mainly because of school and due to the fact that I'm playing Quake Wars. So if anybody has that game, add me to your buddylist so we can play together :) My username is MyRule.
Anyways, back to my work. I'm working on a new design, but I'm kinda out of ideas so that will probably take a while 'till it's finished.

Feature
I just received a note that my WebRadio design ([link] is this week's featured design at ~webgraphix ! :) So thank you for that.
It's also one of my favorite designs and im glad that other people like it too.

Deviations
As you might've noticed, i moved some of my ugly and old deviations to my scraps ([link]. I didn't like them enough anymore to be in my gallery but I didn't want to delete them completely, so people who want to can still see my old stuff.
I might move more of my works to my scraps soon.
I know it's been a while since I uploaded my last deviation. But don't worry, I got some nice designs (almost) done and I'll upload them soon (probably in a few days...)!
Because school has started again, I unfortunately dont have much time anymore for designing. I will, ofcourse, design whenever I can, but don't expect too much works from me for the next weeks.
I'm actually not that sad that school has started again. Ofcourse I have less time to do whatever I want, but I haven't seen some of my friends for a few weeks now so I'm actually quite excited to hang out with them again.

Project...
Well, I can't tell you too much (yet), but i wanted to say that something sweet will be released soon...
I'm pretty excited about it because it is something I wanted to do since the day I started webdesign.
Now wait 'till it is finished lol :)

Coded my first CSS journal

So I just coded my very first CSS journal. Since it's my first there are probably some bugs, so if you see any please post 'em here so I can (hopefully) fix them! :)
The basic coding wasnt as hard as I thought it would be. It get's hard (at least for me...) when working on the smaller things, padding, aligning etc.

Alright so as you might have noticed, I´m subscribed now. I won a 3 months subscription with a design contest over at Ray-Industries.be. Claimed 2nd price with my IconWorld design; [link] .
So now I'm looking for somebody who can code my CSS Journal. I've already made it in photoshop (it's just a modified version of my WebRadio design) so all you have to do is code it. Please note me or leave a message here if you'd like to do it!

I just came back from South Africa, after a 16 day vacation over there. It was great! Seen lotsa things and animals. Traveled about 5000(!!) kilometers in 16 days. Also been to Swaziland for 1 day, which was pretty heavy, the people there are very poor (they earn 65 Rand per month, which is about €6,5 or $8,90 per month).

As for my works, quite a few were added since my last journal :) The Nameless Clan was originally created for a client, who decided to go with a free template after i finished it :( All the others are basically just for fun, except for the IconWorld, which was, as you probably already know, created for a contest. My last deviation (Car Tuning) was made pretty quick, just before i left. Kept it simple and others seem to like it more then i do xD.

I guess that's about it for now :)

Ok im bored, so im writing a new journal :P
Everything's pretty much OK here... I turned 15 2 weeks ago (May 17th). I got lotsa money so im going to buy a new pc! :)
I dont know sh*t about pc's but heres some info:

About the designs, well, only 2 new ones since my last journal... I didnt have much time to design because i had some personal things to do. Too bad people were complaining about the Design Community design. People saying it looks too much like kwaku's... But i dont really care actually, im just designing for fun :)
So i uploaded a new design about a week ago and i gotta say i quite like it :) I think its one of the first times i like the navigation! I always screw up the nav so this time i kept it simple... But i hate the banner this time :( I had like 5 versions all with different banners and i still havent made one i like. Unfortunately it has only 3(!) comments... Im kinda dissapointed about that, because i really like it :O
Don't worry, more designs coming up :) Ive got a few im working on, I just need to find some time (and ideas) to finish them!
